For Patients

Wentworth-Douglass Community Dental Center

Patient Information

The Wentworth-Douglass Community Dental Center is a community benefit project for low-income families to receive general dental care. It is our mission to deliver primary dental care to community residents who would be unable to otherwise afford dental care.

Criteria for Receiving Dental Care

To receive care at the Wentworth-Douglass Community Dental Center, patients must meet this criteria.

The Wentworth-Douglass Community Dental Center is open to adults and children living in Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's primary service area or those who are current patients of a Wentworth Health Partners primary care provider.

Our primary service area includes the following towns:

  • Barrington
  • Berwick, ME
  • Dover
  • Durham
  • Lee
  • Madbury
  • Rollinsford
  • Somersworth
  • South Berwick, ME

To qualify for care, a patient's family income must be at or below 300% of the federal poverty level and must fill out an application with the Wentworth-Douglass Financial Assistance Office. Please call the Dental Center, and we will be happy to explain the process fully.

Billing and Insurance

The Community Dental Center accepts patients with New Hampshire and Maine Medicaid and those who are uninsured.

Patients will be charged a small fee of $35 per visit for routine dental care. Flat fees are charged for dentures, partials and other services (available on a limited basis). Please call the practice for additional information.

Effective February 1, 2019, Wentworth Health Partners and Wentworth-Douglass Hospital will only accept credit cards and checks for patient co-payments, prepayments and outstanding balance payments. Cash payments can be made at the Financial Services Office at 121 Broadway, Dover, NH.
